Envelope Addresser
For Panasonic KX-P1124i Printers
(C)1992 Federal Hill Software
3722 Greenway Lane
P.O. Box 765
Owings Mills, Md. 21117
1 Introduction
This is a simple program that will address standard business
envelopes on a Panasonic KX-P1124i Multi-Mode Printer. It will
probably work on older 1124 models, too.
This is a freeware program. It is copyrighted by Federal Hill
Software, but you're free to use it and pass it around. We ask
only that you read our little commercial at the end of the
manual.
We wrote this program after we bought a Panasonic 1124i to do our
mailing labels. We discovered that the single sheet slot on the
front of the printer was perfect for doing envelopes -- much
quicker and easier than using our laser printer, and the quality
is superb.
The program will print an address and return address with a
choice of fonts for each. The return address is optional.
To run the program, type PANENV and hit ENTER. You'll see a
screen with two menus and two address blanks. The lower blank is
for the main address. The upper blank is for the return address.
Below the main address blank is a status box which tells you what
font you've selected for the main and return addresses, and
whether the program will print the return address.
When you run the program, the default fonts are Courier for both
addresses and the Print Return Address feature is turned OFF.
2 The Main Menu
When the program executes, the cursor will be on the main menu.
It looks like this:
1. Address Envelope
2. Print Envelope
3. Clear Main
4. Clear Return
5. Use Return
6. Main Font
7. Return Font
8. Exit
Use your cursor keys to move the highlight bar to the function
you want and hit ENTER. Or just type the number next to your
choice. Hitting the ESC key is the same as choosing No. 8 (Exit).
2.1 Address Envelope
This will allow you to enter the main and return addresses. Your
cursor will jump to the Main Address Box.
* Type each line of the main address and hit ENTER.
* You can move back and forth between lines to make changes
by using the UP and Down arrow keys.
* If you want to leave a line blank, just skip it.
* When you hit ENTER or press the DOWN cursor key on the
fourth line of the Main Address, your cursor will skip to
the Return Address box. The Return Address Box works the
same way. You don't have to enter a return address if
you're using envelopes that already display a return
address.
* When you hit enter on the FOURTH line of the Return
Address Box, the cursor will move back to the Main Address
Box. It's easy to move back and forth this way.
* When you're through entering the main and return
addresses, hit the ESC key. You'll return to the Main
Menu.

2.2 Print Envelope
This will print the envelope. First make sure your printer is
ready. Here's how:
1. Make sure the single sheet panel on the front of the
printer is open. It swings downward.
2. Position the paper guide in the single sheet slot so that
it's 1/4 inch to the left of Zero on the scale. You may
have to experiment once or twice to find the right
position for your envelope.
3. If you have tractor feed paper in the printer, hit the
Load/Park switch to retract the paper to the parked
position.
4. The paper feed switch is on the top of the printer on the
left hand side near the back. Flick it to friction feed
(the rearmost setting).
5. Insert an envelope in the slot, using the paper guide on
the left. Push it in till it stops, but don't force it.
6. Hit Load/Park again to move the paper into position.
7. If the display panel doesn't say ON LINE, press the ON
LINE button until the words ON LINE appear in the panel.
To print the envelope, select No. 2 from the Main Menu.
* A message will appear that says: "Hit ENTER to Print/ESC
for Main Menu."
* To print the envelope, hit ENTER. To return to the Main
Menu without printing, hit ESC.
2.3 Clear Main
This will erase the Main Address without affecting the return
address. Your cursor will be placed in the Main Address Box and
you can enter a new address.
2.4 Clear Return
This will erase the Return Address without affecting the Main
Address. Your cursor will return to the Return Address Box and
- 3 -
you can type in a new return address or hit ESC to return to the
Main Menu.
2.5 Use Return
This menu selection toggles the return address. Even if you have
entered a return address, you don't have to print it. The return
address default is OFF (the return address will not be printed).
When you select No. 5 from the Main Menu, Return Address Printing
will be turned ON and the status box at the right of the screen
will say "Return Address: YES."
If you select No. 5 again, Return Address Printing will be turned
off, and the status box at the right of the screen will say
"Return Address: NO."
2.6 Main Font
Your Panasonic 1124i has a variety of fonts that can be used to
create professional effects. This will allow you to select the
font for the Main Address.
1. Your cursor will move to the Font Menu.
2. Use the UP and DOWN arrow keys to highlight the font you
want and hit ENTER.
3. The name of the font selected will appear in the status
box at the right of the screen and you'll be returned to
the Main Menu.
2.7 Return Address Font
This will allow you to select the font for the Return Address
Address.
1. Your cursor will move to the Font Menu.
2. Use the UP and DOWN arrow keys to highlight the font you
want and hit ENTER.
3. The name of the font selected will appear in the status
box at the right of the screen and you'll be returned to
the Main Menu.
- 4 -
2.8 Exit
When you choose No. 8 from the Main Menu or hit ESC when the Main
Menu is active, a message will appear at the bottom of the
screen. It will ask if you want to exit from the program.
* Type "Y" to exit from the program.
* Type "N" to return to the Main Menu
3 About Federal Hill Software
Federal Hill Software has been publishing fine computer
applications since 1983. We're the leading supplier of shareware
racing handicappers, blackjack simulations and baseball
statistical software. Here's a mini-catalog:
The Cambridge Handicappers
Even if you've never analyzed a race before, the Cambridge
Handicappers for thoroughbred, harness and greyhound races will
help you pick winners and make a profit at the track! This isn't
a get-rich-quick scheme, but an application of sound, time-tested
handicapping principles.
We've made handicapping as easy as filling in an on-screen form
for each horse or dog. All the information you need is readily
available. When you're through, the handicapper assigns a score
to each contestant. The higher the score, the likelier that horse
or dog is to win the race. On-screen or printed reports rank the
horse or dogs in order. You can handicap a race in minutes or a
whole card in less than an hour!
Our instruction manual tells you how to bet, when to bet and when
to sit out -- one of the real secrets of good handicapping. We
also tell you how parimutuel wagering really works. And our
WagerMaster (TM) software, included with the package, will show
you estimated win, place and show payoffs for any bet at a wide
variety of odds.
The handicappers will run on any IBM-compatible computer with
384K of memory.
The Cambridge Thoroughbred, Harness and Greyhound Handicappers
are $30 each. Order any two for $50 or all three for $70.

basic or advanced card-counting strategies. If you get tired of

thousands, or hundreds of thousands of hands -- while you do
something else!
Our complete instruction manual will teach you the elements of

Baseball Statpak
Bring Big-Time baseball statistics to your Little League,
softball league, high school or college team. Featured in PC
Magazine, Baseball Statpak will track 15 different statistics for
up to 250 players on 12 different teams. And that's just a single
league! Track as many leagues as you want.
Easy data entry, scrolling statistical displays, point-and-shoot
updating, and beautiful printed reports for the whole league, a
team or an individual player have made this program a favorite
with coaches across the country. You can sort on any statistic in
ascending or descending order to analyze your players'
performance.
Better yet, Baseball Statpak contains complete league management
capabilities. Drafting has never been easier! Assign ratings to
- 6 -
each player for hitting, throwing fielding and pitching (use all
four or just a single rating), and Baseball Statpak ranks them
according to an adjusted average for the whole league!
Baseball Statpak tracks Names, addresses, ages and coaching
information, too. Print out team rosters, league rosters or
mailing labels!
Baseball Statpak will run on any IBM-Compatible computer with
